This program includes a 60-minute telephone session (we pay for the call) with your career coach who will help you master the skill of succeeding at interviews. You want to be the preferred candidate, not the runner-up.
Your coach will help you understand how to prepare for an interview as you would for a working meeting, how to highlight your achievements and present yourself in the most positive light as the candidate of choice.
A PowerPoint presentation and tips on interviewing that you can open on your PC or laptop will be provided by email in advance of the session.
During the telephone coaching session your coach will go through the PowerPoint presentation with you, covering the following topics:
Researching a company
How to cope with nerves
Handling the first 60 seconds
The “Two Minute Rule”
Understanding the employer’s fears
Making a good impression
Promoting achievements
How to answer the most commonly asked questions
Handling difficult and “trick” questions
Handling the issue of salary expectations
Turning a negative into a positive
When and how to take over an interview
